In Honor of Drew

Harlan Hutton

I had the honor of working with Drew at the Mike Curb Institute, as well as in the music scene at Rhodes and in Memphis in general. He was kind, talented, goofy, creative, and hardworking. He was the type of guy to keep his head down and quietly affect change with no want for reward or accolade. My boyfriend, Scott Hale, played jazz with Drew all the time and was his big in SigNu. Every time he got home from seeing Drew he would make a comment like “wow, I love Drew” or “Drew is such a great guy.” We are both so devastated. The world is worse off without Drew in it. I’m so incredibly thankful I got to know Drew and connect with him over our shared love of Memphis music. All my love to his family and his girlfriend.
